Gaines Construction successfully completed this $8 Million site package in October of 2011, on time and within budget. Gaines was chosen by Hensel Phelps to handle the demo, clearing, grading, utilities, and paving for the new FORSCOM/USARC Headquarters in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
On this design build project Hensel Phelps made Gaines a design partner with Timmons Group in the completion of the site civil drawings which were only 65% complete when Gaines was awarded the contract.
The new headquarters complex is one of the most prestigious projects in the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative.
It will house over 2,700 employees—many of whom will be relocated from Fort McPherson, Georgia. Set on a 57-acre site, the 708,000SF headquarter complex consists of the Command Headquarters Building and its four remote buildings: an Installation Process Node (IPN); Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) Administrative Building; Control Info Tech (CIT) Building; and a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC).
